Hello September
September arrived with multiple weather occurrences across the globe. A feeling of unsettledness. And a longing for Fall (official start is The Autumnal Equinox September 22nd). So that the letting go of things can begin for the trees and for us. Or is that just me?
I foreshadowed it when I chose “release” for my word of the month back in January. It fits like a glove, because that is exactly what my mood is today. Release is a verb: allow or enable to escape from confinement, set free; allow (something) to move, act, or flow freely; allow (information) to be generally available; remit or discharge. But it is also a noun: the action or process of releasing or being released; the action of making a product available for general viewing or purchase; the action of releasing property, money or a right to another. I am gathering my list of the things I want to set free, be liberated from and also, I am announcing my Fall Schedule. So many releasings!!
My hope for September is that the west winds that drive away the long hot days here in the desert southwest, also bring in certainty and peace with the cooler shorter days that are on the horizon. And as I release what no longer serves me that those evening breezes grant me harmony. September, welcome…I am so glad you are here!
